Chanthaburi : The Hidden Gem of Thailand.
Chanthaburi is in the east of Thailand, on the shore of the Gulf of Thailand and on the border with Battambang and Pailin of Cambodia. Neighbouring provinces are Trat, Rayong, Chonburi, Chachoengsao and Sa Kaeo. It is about 245 Kilometres away from Bangkok.

Surprisingly! Chanthaburi has several beach and waterfall. They are all beautiful …these are far beyond my power to describe and must be seen to be appreciated.
Beach : Laem Sing Beach, Khung wiman Beach, ChaoLao Beach and don’t miss Laem Sadet-Ao Khung Kraben it is the Delevelopment Study Centre which won the Thailand Tourism Awards 2002. The centre is responsible of research and study for appropriate development of Chanthaburi’s shoreline.
The Waterfall: Namtok Phlio or Phlio Waterfall, Kating Waterfall, Khlong Narai Water,Trok Nong Waterfall, Makok Waterfall, Kho Soi Doi Waterfall, Khong Phibun Waterf all these are only some of them…
National Park : There are many nation parks in Chanthaburi, Its moist evergreen forests, hill evergreen forests as well as deciduous forest abound in various herbs, wild orchids, and the rare eaglewood. Its mountainous areas provides home for copious wild animals. Places of interest within the national park include all waterfalls.
Oasis Sea World : It is the place to reproduce and conserve dolphins in Chanthaburi’s watercourses. The dolphin show opens every day.
Gems Market : The gems market opens Friday,Saturday,Sunday. Gems is one of the province’s renowned economic products with elaborately cut gemstone by experienced craftsmen. Chanthaburi Gemstone and Local Product Fair is the largest jewellery fair in the eastern region, held during 8-12 December of every year.
Temple : Wat or Temple hundreds of them are all around Chanthaburi. Two places you should not miss, one is Wat Khoa Sukim. It located on the mountain with beautiful view surrounding. Another one is Phra Phutthabat Phluang Homage-paying Fair held around January-March on the Top of Khitchakut Mountain. The traditional has been observed for generations out of a folk belief that climbers will gain high merit, in addition, to mental endurance from so doing, In the past, merit-makers hand to walk on foot for a distance of some 15 kilometers up to the mountain.
The Catholic Church Chanthaburi : According to history, the construction of this old and large Catholic Church took 275 years to complete. It was built in Gothic style with beautiful stained glass decoration depicting Christian saints. As a Romance place, many couple makes their pre-wedding shooting here.
Fruit Orchard : Chanthaburi is a fruit city, it has many different kind of fruit orchard such as Durian, Mangosteen, Longan, Rambutan, Sala, Mango, Banana etc. It famous for Durian and Mangoesteen. These are 2 special fruit from here. Durain is the King of fruit and Mangoesteen is the Queen of fruit for them. Fruit Season is around May-July. World Durian Festival held annually for 1-2 weeks in May.
